A small Velocity 173 RG “experimental” aircraft crashed into a house immediately after takeoff on Friday. The Pilot and two residents of the House were killed. The rear propeller speed-173 RG aircraft plane belonged to an unidentified resident of Las Vegas.

The pilot had radioed that he was having some problems after taking off from the North Las Vegas Airport. He is believed to be unable to gain altitude and went down. The names of the dead were not immediately released.

FAA and National Transportation Safety Board investigators were moving to North Las Vegas to investigate the accident. These kind of aircrafts are sold in a kit and must be assembled.

North Las Vegas Airport is the second airport in Nevada after McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.
